Hurricadia {Hurry-Kay-Dee-Ah} is a 10 year-old multi-disciplinary partnership of design and imagery. Conceptualised in the Republic of Ireland in 2000, Hurricadia Creative Serivces now calls Singapore home. We pride ourselves on an overarching philosophy of simplicity, accessibility and meaning.

Hurricadia Photography is the visual branch of Hurricadia, and draws on its strong sense of being different from the average studio or agency. Our primary strengths are weddings, social, portraits and photojournalism. Our principal photographer Terence was featured in the inaugural edition of Tatler Weddings Singapore in 2005.

We delight in our freelance heritage, because that's what's so interesting about us.

Passion for the visual has long been part of Terence's philosophy. Deciding that a single career was never going to be interesting enough, he hung up his desires for the not-so glamourous world of finance to join the even less glamourous world of academia, art and advertising. He holds an MSc in Management Research from the Said Business School, University of Oxford and a PhD in Visual Sociology from Goldsmiths, University of London, where his research was focussed on the productions of ethnic identities amongst Chinese Singaporeans in wedding rituals.

Terence has presented his work at numerous conferences in Europe, including a study of wedding gowns as postcolonial idealisations of the body, and the connections between poetry and photography in social research. He has published one book, From Where I'm Standing, and received his Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society in 2005.
